Day of Caring
Day of Caring is a community wide service day where volunteers from all over the 10-parish Capital Area will join local non-profit organizations to work on one-time service projects. Participating organizations are matched with volunteers from the community and local businesses, who choose to contribute their time and services in an effort to impact our communities' needs.

The Day of Caring program creates a wonderful opportunity for employees to engage themselves with the community. It's great knowing you're helping the community, but an even better feeling is seeing how your efforts positively impact people." - Stephen Ledoux, Dow Chemical |
VOLUNTEER AND PICK YOUR PROJECT!
Volunteers can sign up as a team or individually. Companies, organizations or groups that participate must provide a team leader to lead their voluntee team. Individual volunteers can create their own team or they have the option to be partnered with an existing team.
Company employees that participate in Day of Caring will leave a project feeling energized, inspired and motivated. Your employee will gain a boost in morale, experience positive teamwork and develop managerial skills among those involved in planning projects. Depending on availability, your company will have the opportunity to be recognized by local media, print and broadcasting groups.
Day of Caring is a unique opportunity to market your business to the community, strengthen team dynamics, establish relationships with non-profit organizations, and most importantly build a better community.
