EBR Long Term Recovery Committee

Purpose: Support families and individuals in East Baton Rouge Parish in their recovery from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Who does the East Baton Rouge Parish Long Term Recovery Committee serve?
The Committee serves families that reside or intend to reside in East Baton Rouge Parish and have developed a recovery plan with a case manager. Case managers apply to the East Baton Rouge Parish Long Term Recovery Committee on behalf of their clients. Case management agencies in East Baton Rouge Parish
The Committee is an umbrella organization composed of representatives from the private (non-governmental) and non-profit sectors including: social service agencies, business and industry, faith-based organizations and voluntary organizations (such as civic clubs, fraternal organizations, trade associations and advocacy groups).
· Leadership Team: A diverse body composed of 16-20 people that establishes and implements policies and procedures to enable the East Baton Rouge Parish Long Term Recovery Committee to achieve its purpose within the boundaries of its working principles. Leadership Team Prospect Form
· Participating Organizations: Organizations that voluntarily provide the Committee their expertise and resources. Each participating organization designates a representative and one alternate to represent the organization in the Committee.
· Subcommittees: The EBRP LTRC has developed standing subcommittees to efficiently address long term recovery. Those committees include:
o Resource Development Committee
o Volunteer Committee
o Emotional and Spiritual Care Committee
Volunteers: Individuals who are not associated with participating organizations may volunteer for the EBRP LTRC. They will be deployed to work events, rebuilding or construction projects, or any other projects organized by the Committee. If you would like to volunteer, please visit the Volunteer page.
