What is the Community Chest?
The Community Chest is an endowment program that complements our annual campaign while successfully preparing our community to meet its future needs.
Donors can create a lasting legacy through Community Chest by:
• Making a bequest through a will
• Designating life insurance proceeds
• Naming CAUW as a beneficiary in a retirement plan
• Designing a trust-based contribution
• Giving an outright gift to Community Chest endowment
Donors may select one of many gift-planning options, each working to provide substantial community support while creating tax and income advantages for the donor and their heirs. Community Chest funds are held and managed at Baton Rouge Area Foundation.
