A MESSAGE FROM
THE LFCC CHAIRPERSON OF THE LOUISIANA MIDDLE DISTRICT COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN
Ricco A. Thomas is the Chairperson of the Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC) of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) of the Louisiana Middle District (LMD). It is this LFCC that actually runs our CFC. LFCC is made up of Federal employees and has several key leadership roles, including: determining the eligibility of charities listed in the 2008 CFC Catalog of Caring, overseeing the CFCLMD to ensure Federal regulations are adhered to, and that every Federal employee is given an informed opportunity to give through CFC.
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Your community and the charities you support stand in awe of your generosity. The Combined Federal Campaign of the Louisiana Middle District (CFCLMD) remains one of the largest and most successful employee workplace giving campaign in the region, with more than 50 percent of Federal employees in the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area contributing through the CFC.
CFCLMD is the keystone of philanthropy for more than 3,000 charities. Your contributions have helped people who live around the corner, across the Nation, and throughout the world. CFCLMD is stronger than ever, thanks to you, and that is very good news for those that find themselves in need.
This year's campaign theme is "Compassion is Action! Support CFC." By making a contribution, by serving as a volunteer, or by giving from your heart to help those in need, you bring kindness into someone's life. Through your selfless actions and overwhelming generosity, you stand behind those organizations working to improve the lives of others.
To newer employees and our colleagues who have not yet given, we ask you to put your compassion to action in someone's life. Contribute to the charity of your choice and experience the satisfaction that comes from giving to others. Donating through the CFCLMD through payroll deduction is a voluntary commitment to make a difference for people and organizations that truly need assistance.
Please give generously. Look for organizations in the 2008 Catalog of Caring and pledge during the campaign season from September 1, 2008 - December 15, 2008 to charities that are meaningful to you. You are important to them. Everyday your "Compassion is Action" when you help others help themselves.
With appreciation, I am
Sincerely,
Ricco A. Thomas
